Academic promotions are a unit within the organizational structure of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls<\/span><\/a> \u00a0– University of Baghdad<\/span><\/a> \u00a0directly linked to the Dean. In this context, this unit aims to facilitate the promotion process accurately and correctly by following the essential administrative steps for preparing promotions. Furthermore, the unit seeks to attain academic titles in the shortest possible time frame. In addition, the promotions aim to leverage academic, educational, and administrative capacities to empower faculty members in obtaining scientific titles, thereby preparing qualified teaching staff that contributes to leading Iraqi society. On the other hand, these efforts aim to cultivate individuals who are committed to their country, creative and innovative, capable of facing contemporary challenges and adversaries, armed with knowledge, and adhering to noble values. To date, numerous transactions for promotions across various academic ranks have been successfully completed.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Scientific Promotions Committee at the college operates under the guidance of the<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Deanship and the College Council in the following matters:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

    Encouraging and assisting faculty members in the various departments of the college, urging them to continue scientific research and utilize their scientific outputs in order to obtain their academic promotions, each according to their respective ranks and general and specific specialties.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n

    Monitoring the implementation of decisions issued by the central scientific promotions authority in accordance with Decision No. (167) of 2017, currently in effect, and everything published in the Iraqi Gazette from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as according to the university’s directives regarding scientific promotions.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n

    Ensuring the confidentiality of the Scientific Promotions Committee’s work within the college due to its direct connection with the Dean of the college and the Central Scientific Promotions Committee at the University of Baghdad.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n

    The committee, along with its members and chairperson, is committed to making every sincere and honest effort to accomplish the tasks assigned to them in service of the faculty members.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n

    Organizing discussion sessions and workshops in collaboration with the University of Baghdad\u2019s Central Promotions Committee.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \n

    The committee ensures that faculty members seeking promotion do not interfere in the committee’s work and that they only engage with the department chair to complete the promotion procedures. This is in accordance with the directives of the Central Scientific Promotions Committee to ensure the integrity of its procedures and in cooperation with the scientific departments of the college, aiming to fulfill the legitimate aspirations of faculty members to achieve their academic promotions.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
