The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abid Maleh, and under the supervision of the Head of the Continuing Education Unit, Dr. Saja Khalid, hosted the Director of the Continuing Education Center at the University Presidency, Prof. Dr. Arkan Said Khattab. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, they launched the training course titled “Training of Trainers (TOT),” which will run for three consecutive days.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The course was delivered by the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Dr. Arkan Said Khattab. It covered the definitions and objectives of training, distinguishing between the concepts of education and training, with an emphasis on the fact that training aims to develop skills and modify beliefs rather than merely transferring information.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The course encompassed several key axes, most notably: the definition and arts of public speaking, the stages of the training process\u2014including planning, implementation, and evaluation\u2014the concept of training programs, and the importance of scientific material and the training package. Additionally, it highlighted the trainer’s role in enabling trainees to teach themselves, according to an integrated academic vision.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The course adopted an interactive, practical, and practice-based training methodology using concise training packages and scientific briefs. These materials included applications, exercises, and case studies to manage the training process effectively and achieve the desired goals in elevating performance levels.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Furthermore, the course included a comprehensive evaluation process for both the training program and the performance of the participating female trainers, based on precise academic standards to ensure the quality of outcomes and continuous performance improvement.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Fatima Abid Maleh, presented the College Shield to the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Dr. Arkan Said Khattab, in appreciation of his outstanding efforts and effective contributions to the success of the course and his support for the continuing education journey at the university.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This course fulfills the Sustainable Development Goals, contributing directly to the fourth goal related to ensuring Quality Education, and the seventeenth goal related to building Effective Partnerships between academic institutions to achieve shared goals, by qualifying teaching staff capable of transferring knowledge using modern methods and enhancing communication and presentation skills.<\/span><\/h4>\n
