The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls<\/b> \/ University of Baghdad hosted the discussion of the Master’s thesis entitled (“The Effect of Landa’s Model with Multiball on Attentional Control and Developing Certain Types of Basketball Passes for Female Students”), presented by the researcher (Zainab Ali Jassim).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The examination committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Aseel Jaleel Katea as Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ali Subhan Sakhi from Mustansiriyah University as an external member, Prof. Dr. Nada Muhammad Amin as a member, and Prof. Dr. Sahar Hur Majeed as a member and supervisor.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to prepare educational units according to Landa’s model with multiball to develop attentional control and improve certain types of basketball passes for female students, and to identify the effect of these educational units on both attentional control and the development of passing performance among second-stage female students in the college.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The results showed that the educational units according to Landa’s model supported by multiball achieved significant effectiveness in developing passing skills (chest, bounce, and long passes) and attentional control among the experimental group, as well as its superiority over the control group in all skill and psychological variables. Organising the material according to the model contributed to understanding the motor sequence and reducing errors, while multiball provided dense repetitions that helped accelerate the learning and mastery process.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study recommended the necessity of adopting the educational units prepared according to Landa’s model with multiball within the basketball curricula for female students, and emphasizing the importance of linking skill learning with mental learning (especially attentional control) due to its direct effect on performance accuracy. It also called for moving away from traditional methods based on monotonous repetition and replacing them with modern methods that increase excitement and exercise density, holding training courses and workshops for teachers to familiarize them with building units according to Landa’s model and managing multiball exercises, in addition to conducting similar studies and research on other offensive skills and different age groups.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This discussion achieves Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
