Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, supervised the Master’s thesis titled “The Effect of Wall Pilates Exercises on Health-Related Fitness According to Technogym Device Indicators for First-Stage Female Students,” by researcher Haneen Hussein Maarij.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The discussion committee comprised Prof. Dr. Suhad Haseeb as Chair, Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Rasheed Taan as external member from the University of Tikrit, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fahem Abd El-Wahed as external member from the University of Baghdad.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to identify health fitness indicators using the Technogym device among first-stage female students and to design Wall Pilates exercises for all body muscles. It also aimed to determine the impact of Wall and non-Wall Pilates exercises on the indicators of both the experimental and control groups, and to identify the differences between them in the post-tests.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The results showed a significant reduction in Body Mass Index (BMI) and fat mass, accompanied by an increase in fat-free mass and skeletal muscle mass, alongside a higher basal metabolic rate and lower biological age in both groups. Furthermore, Wall Pilates exercises achieved comprehensive improvement in joint flexibility, reducing resistance during movement and generating greater force with less exertion, showing clear superiority for the experimental group.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The researcher recommended integrating Wall Pilates exercises into the annual training programs for female students and conducting regular physiological and anthropometric measurements to track physical development and prevent training detraining. She also suggested using these findings to design advanced training programs that enhance complex motor skills.<\/span><\/h4>\n
