The teacher at the Individual Games Branch in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ghosoun Natiq Al-Wadi, held a scientific symposium for undergraduate students entitled (Updating the International Law of Shooting Sport with Air Weapons).<\/span><\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

Dr. Al-Wadi explained that for every sports game there is an international law that the International Federation sets its general rules and the aim of which is to achieve uniformity in the management of shooting sports all over the world. Administrative and executive), indicating the importance of sports competitions because they are the focus of the training process that includes the player, the technical equipment, the social atmosphere (competitive environment) and the facilities it provides for practice as a form of support and reinforcement, referring to the Air Weapons Shooting Competition Law 10m, which is confirmed to be in competition from ( 3) Stages, which are the qualification stage, the semi-final stage, and the medal competition.<\/span><\/h4>\n

She added that one of the duties of the referees in the competitions is to hold a meeting the day before the competition, to hold a lottery to determine the names of the players to allow them to train, to examine the weapons and equipment, to check the throwing field and the distance of the support to the target 10 m + -5, the height of the target is 1.40 cm + – 5 cm, there is a red line 5 cm wide, and it is called the forbidden or prohibited area, which the player may not cross, there is a distance of (7) meters for shooters and referees, and the public is not allowed to enter this area, in addition to the existence of a distance between each shooter and another (1) m, that The height of the stand is 70 cm to (1) m, the lighting power at the target is 1500-1800 watts, ventilation outlets must be provided, the number of referees is (8) (3) referees to follow up the tournament inside the throwing field and (5) table referees to verify and announce the results) Each team consists of (3) shooters, and the team coach can replace one player with another half an hour before the start of the competition.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The symposium concluded with a set of recommendations that all those responsible for competitions, players, coaches and team leaders must adhere to the rules of the International Shooting Sports Federation, provide material support from the Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, intensify internal and external training camps to keep pace with training development, conduct physical and functional tests periodically and before every competition<\/span><\/h4>\n
