The University of Baghdad has achieved a significant milestone by securing the first rank in Iraq in the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2024: Top Global Universities. This remarkable achievement highlights our institution’s commitment to excellence and underscores our dedication to providing a world-class education.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings encompasses a comprehensive evaluation of 1,500 institutions across 104 locations worldwide. What sets this ranking apart is its unique emphasis on employability and sustainability, reflecting the evolving needs of the global job market and the importance of environmental responsibility.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In our continuous pursuit of excellence, we have implemented the largest-ever methodological enhancement this year. Three new metrics have been introduced, namely Sustainability, Employment Outcomes, and International Research Network. These additions ensure a comprehensive evaluation of universities, capturing their impact on society, their graduates’ success in the job market, and their global research collaborations.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The results of the QS World University Rankings are derived from a meticulous analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the invaluable insights of over 240,000 academic faculty and employers worldwide. We are proud to be recognized among the top universities, standing tall alongside four other esteemed Iraqi institutions.<\/span><\/h4>\n

At the University of Baghdad, we are committed to continually raising our international standing. Guided by a new strategic roadmap, we are dedicated to enhancing our academic programs, expanding our research initiatives, and fostering global collaborations.
