The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad witnessed the defense of a doctoral dissertation titled (Cultural Intelligence, Ethical Integrity Values, and Academic Compatibility among Students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the College of Fine Arts). The dissertation was presented by student (Saba Abdul-Kareem Zghair) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahira Razzaq Kadhum, a faculty member in the Department of Individual Games.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to identify the differences in the overall dimensions of cultural intelligence, ethical integrity, and academic compatibility among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the College of Fine Arts, based on the variables of (gender and specialization). Additionally, the study aimed to determine the nature and direction of the relationship between cultural intelligence, ethical integrity, and academic compatibility in the research sample, according to the variable (gender- specialization). Furthermore, the study aimed to determine the contribution percentage of each of the three mentioned variables among students of both colleges, based on the variables of gender and specialization. Lastly, the study aimed to establish a predictive equation for each of the mentioned variables among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the College of Fine Arts, based on the variables of gender and specialization.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The student concluded the validity of the three scales used in the current study (cultural intelligence, ethical integrity, and academic compatibility) on the research sample of students from the College of Education, University of Babylon, and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The scales effectively measured the intended objectives. The student also found a strong positive and linear correlation between the study variables (cultural intelligence, ethical integrity, and academic compatibility).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The researcher recommended the adoption of the current study’s measures, which were prepared for cultural intelligence, ethical integrity, and academic compatibility, for the purpose of evaluating other samples. She suggested conducting an experimental study that includes a psychological counseling program to enhance cultural intelligence among a sample of university students. She also advocated for activating the role of student activities that work to enhance academic compatibility with university life, and the need to introduce ethical education in the curricula of primary, intermediate, secondary, and university stages.<\/span><\/h4>\n

After the student’s dissertation defense, the committee recommended granting her a Ph.D. in Physical Education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
