The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad witnessed a discussion of the Master’s thesis titled (The Effect of the Listening Triangle Strategy on Improving Working Memory and Learning Some Volleyball Skills for Fifth-Grade Preparatory Students). The thesis was presented by the student (Shaima Ali Abdul Hassan) under the supervision of Prof. Dr Huda Abdul Samee, a lecturer in the Department of Theoretical Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

The study aimed to construct a working memory scale in volleyball for fifth-grade preparatory students, to prepare instructional units in physical education lessons using the listening triangle strategy to learn some volleyball skills, to identify the effect of the listening triangle strategy on improving the level of memory, as well as improving learning some volleyball skills for fifth-grade preparatory students at Al-Farouq Preparatory School for Girls affiliated with the Directorate of Education in Baghdad Al-Karkh I.<\/span><\/p>\n

The student concluded that the working memory scale for volleyball skills is appropriate for measuring what it was prepared for, as it adheres to the scientific coefficients and criteria required for accepting measurement tools in motor learning research. Additionally, she noted the feasibility of employing the Listening Triangle Strategy in the educational environment for practising exercises related to learning some volleyball skills. Furthermore, its application in skill learning aids in improving the level of working memory in volleyball.<\/span><\/p>\n

The researcher also recommended the need to implement three educational units for learning the performance of each volleyball skill and a fourth one to teach precision when applying the listening triangle strategy in practical lessons for skill learning some volleyball skills for fifth-grade preparatory students.\u00a0 She stressed the importance of increasing the focus on adopting specialized mental measures, specifically working memory, to monitor the progress of fifth-grade students when using modern strategies for skill learning in volleyball.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the student’s presentation and discussion of her thesis, the committee recommended granting her a Master’s degree in Physical Education.<\/span><\/p>\n
