The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, witnessed the defence of a doctoral dissertation titled (Servant Leadership and Administrative Intelligence of Secondary School Principals and their Role in Making Decisions for Sports Activities from the Perspective of Physical Education Teachers). The student (Nadia Areebi Fida’am) defended her dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sundus Musa Jawad, a lecturer in the Department of team games.<\/span><\/p>\n

The study aimed to construct and standardize two scales: one for servant leadership and the other for administrative intelligence of secondary school principals, from the perspective of physical education teachers. The study also aimed to prepare a scale for decision-making among secondary school principals. Furthermore, the study sought to identify the statistical description of servant leadership, administrative intelligence, and decision-making among secondary school principals as perceived by physical education teachers. Additionally, the study aimed to understand the relationship between servant leadership and administrative intelligence of secondary school principals, as well as their role in making decisions regarding sports activities, from the perspective of physical education teachers in the first and second districts of Al-Rusafa.<\/span><\/p>\n

The student concluded through her study that the three adopted measures (servant leadership, administrative intelligence, and decision-making), which were constructed and adapted, are valid tools for measuring the intended constructs. She noted the existence of a significant relationship between servant leadership and administrative intelligence of secondary school principals concerning their decision-making for sports activities. Decisions about sports activities are influenced by the school principal’s servant leadership style and managerial intelligence.<\/span><\/p>\n
