The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad discussed the doctoral thesis entitled (Designing an educational field in developing some mental abilities for spatial orientation and throwing accuracy among rapid-reaction skydivers), by the student (Maysam Abdel-Rahim Abdel-Hassan).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to design an educational field to develop the mental abilities of spatial orientation and throwing accuracy among the skydivers of the Rapid reaction Squad, construct tests for spatial orientation and mental abilities for the sample mentioned above, and identify the effect of the educational field in developing the mental abilities of spatial orientation and throwing accuracy among the skydiver. To the concept of parachute jumping, it is a jump that the jumper performs alone from the sky without participating with any other jumper, adding that spatial orientation is the process of directing the parachute along a specific landing path after jumping from the plane so that the jumper can reach the final landing site that is determined as a goal before the landing process.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study came out with a number of results and recommendations, the most important of which is proving the validity of the designed tests in measuring spatial orientation, speed of motor response, and focus of attention among members of the rapid response squad. The design of the field (sand table) also had a positive effect in improving spatial orientation, speed of motor response, and focus of attention, in addition to its impact on developing the level of shooting accuracy among the rapid response Squad, so the study recommends adopting modern technology in preparing and designing tests to measure mental abilities due to the high accuracy of the measurement, focusing on developing mental abilities in particular and increasing the portion of its training for skydivers as they are the most important abilities that must be improved for them, and preparing training courses. According to the levels, when the jumper passes the course at the first level, he must be nominated to the course at the higher level, according to the skydiving law.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In conclusion, this study serves the sustainable development goals of good health, well-being, good education, industry, innovation, infrastructure, and partnership for goals.<\/span><\/h4>\n
