The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, participated in the first conference of the Industrial Advisory Council, held under the slogan (Towards advanced higher education that meets the requirements of the labor market), under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and organized by Gilgamesh University.<\/span><\/h4>\n

During his speech, Dr. Al-Aboudi announced the role of Iraqi universities in supporting and implementing development projects supporting the Iraqi industrial sector to reduce the gap between academic educational outcomes and sectoral industrial environments by directing university curricula in a way that enables graduate students to integrate into the labor market and employ their academic skills in the sustainability of this important sector.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi pointed out that \u201cThe Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research supports the efforts of Iraqi public and private universities to strengthen the partnership with the industrial sector, by providing the necessary facilities for that. He stressed the importance of the partnership between the university and the industrial sector, because of its role in developing higher education and promoting Its outputs meet the requirements of the labor market. The university institution, through scientific research of an applied nature and its training courses for its students, is responsible for supporting the industrial sector and developing it in a manner consistent with the requirements of the labor market.<\/span><\/h4>\n

For his part, President of Gilgamesh University, Dr. Anwar Sobhi Al-Jubouri, stressed the university\u2019s commitment to developing strategic partnerships with the industrial sector. Al-Jubouri said that the university seeks to establish a center for industrial cooperation that aims to enhance cooperation between the university and the industrial sector in the field of scientific research and development, provide practical training opportunities for university students in industrial institutions, and contribute to developing the professional skills of graduates.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This participation represents one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education, and the ninth goal: industrial, innovation, and infrastructure.<\/span><\/h4>\n
