The Athletics Committee of the Individual Sports Branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, each of Prof. Dr. Aseel Jalil and Asst. Prof. Iman Sabeih, Lect. Dr. Zainab Qahtan and Asst. Lect. Hind Walid, organized a workshop for undergraduate students entitled (Application of the Heptathlon Effectiveness Law in Athletics). The aim of the workshop is to get to know the Heptathlon Effectiveness Law, and to learn about the Finnish event scoring.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The members of the Athletics Committee explained how to conduct complex competitions that last for two consecutive days, so that one day can be divided into two periods, morning and evening, whose sequence cannot be changed and transferred from one day to another. Its activities include long jump and throwing such as javelins and weights, giving each competitor 3 attempts instead of 6 attempts.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Point out the running competitions and their rules, which allow only one false start for all competitors without excluding the cause, and issuing a yellow card to the erring competitor.<\/span><\/h4>\n

They also explained the mechanism of scoring and the registration form for the combined games approved by the World Federation, so that the total number of races (7) competitions represents the final result, and that there should be an interval of no less than (30) minutes between the end of a competition and the beginning of a new competition.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The workshop concluded by recommending the importance of knowing the theoretical and practical aspects of the heptathlon effectiveness, and reviewing the recent amendments to the heptathlon effectiveness law.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
