\u00a0<\/strong>The Academic Promotions Committee at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, held a workshop for a group of new\u00a0 teachers entitled (The basic steps for the mechanism of applying for academic promotions in accordance with Instructions (167) of 2017 in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The members of the committee referred to the instructions for scientific promotions in accordance with the Scientific Promotions Law No. 167 of 2017, published in the Iraqi newspaper Al-Waqai\u2019, No. (4471), which stipulates that a set of conditions must be met to obtain scientific promotion, including those related to the specified time periods and the number of scientific research that must be completed. In addition to the scientific and educational activities for which points are required for each promotion.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The members of the committee focused on explaining four basic axes, which are (an introduction to the instructions for applying for promotion and the time periods between each promotion and another, and some of the conditions required for publication, the duties of the head of the branch when checking scientific promotion, calculating points for scientific ranks in scientific specializations according to points in Table No. (1), Details of awarding points according to type of activity are in Table No. (2).<\/span><\/h4>\n

This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
