The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop entitled (The Physiological Effect of the Nervous System on the Body), and it was presented by the instructor in the Team Sports Branch, Prof. Dr. Nada Abdel Salam.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Dr. Nada showed concept of the nervous system is that it is the device responsible for storing experiences (memory) and creating forms of response based on previous experiences, dividing the structure of the nerve cell into three parts, which are the cell body, the cell branches (dendrites), and the axon called (the nerve fiber), classifying their types into sensory neurons cells , motor neurons, internal neurons or so-called supporting neurons, noting how the work of the nervous system is divided in two directions: improving the internal compatibility between the muscle fibers themselves, and improving the external compatibility that takes place between the different muscles.<\/span><\/h4>\n

It also explained how sports training affects the nervous system by improving motor coordination, shortening reaction time, reducing load time (effort), increasing the speed of arousal (speed of nerve signal conduction), and this leads to improved motor coordination and organized work in every muscle.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
