[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Rapporteur of the Single Games Branch in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Assistant Lecturer Maryam Abdul-Jabbar, held a scientific workshop for undergraduate students entitled (Video Assistant Referee Protocol (VAR)).<\/p>\n

Ms. Maryam Abdul-Jabbar explained the concept of (video assistant referee), whose abbreviation is (VAR) and what is meant by (Video Assistant Referee), which is a referee who receives the match footage independently and has the power to review television settings, which can help missed dangerous events or a clear and apparent error, The mouse referees team consists of 3 or 4 referees, and they are assisted by a video technician, and they must have a common language with each other and with the match referee as well, and the task of the video referees is limited to quickly reviewing questionable cases and advising the referee whether he requests it or not, but the decision The final is in the hands of the arena referee only.<\/p>\n

She also noted the series of decisions and cases that can be reviewed, namely: the goal, the penalty kick, the direct red card, and the identification error.<\/h4>\n
