The periodic meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls was held, headed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr Fatima Abd Maleh, and attended by members of the Council from representatives of ministries and national institutions including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education, the Directorate of Sports Medicine, and the Iraqi Olympic Committee, in addition to members of the College Council and the Quality Assurance and Rehabilitation and Employment Units.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The meeting discussed multiple axes aimed at achieving quality education, decent work, and economic growth by the goals of sustainable development, as the focus was on activating the Council’s vision to meet the requirements of the labour market and enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors to make educational curricula more compatible with economic and professional needs. The meeting also addressed the development of curricula, study programs, scientific research, and ways to increase the awareness of professors and students about the labour market by organising workshops, meetings, and mutual visits, which enhances the role of education in achieving sustainable development.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The agenda also discussed mechanisms for using artificial intelligence in various disciplines to support graduates\u2019 experiences and raise their readiness for the labour market. Members\u2019 comments and suggestions were also heard regarding developing cadres in their respective fields, and recommendations were made to qualify physical education graduates for the labour market and transfer the expertise of teaching cadres to various ministries as part of the Council\u2019s efforts to enhance cooperation between academic institutions and various government sectors.<\/span><\/h4>\n
