The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, hosted a delegation from UNICEF youth programs, including Ms. Dania Ali Riyah and Ms. Aseel Iskandar Khalil, to hold a training workshop on (How to register on the (U-REPORT) platform), noting that these courses are held in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Development of Youth Personnel and Leadership at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aiming to enhance youth participation in decision-making and benefit from digital technologies that enable them to express their opinions on issues that concern them, collect real-time data to support governments and organizations in developing policies and services, spread awareness on education, health, human rights and other topics, and enhance community participation by providing a direct channel between youth and decision-makers. Ms. Aseel and Dania reviewed the three most important electronic training platforms, which are (U-REPORT – Learning Passport\u00a0 – and Fundoo), considering them innovative digital tools that rely on messaging applications and social media such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Twitter to conduct youth opinion polls and collect data related to social, educational, and health issues, to improve policies and services, as well as review how to register on them via email and a special password to survey the training programs within it, which amount to (112) educational courses, it provides the possibility of registering in any educational program that serves their skills and academic and practical fields to obtain a result, in addition to their announcement of the launch of the free chat platform (live chat).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The delegation of the youth programs in the organization also confirmed the effectiveness of these free training platforms in supporting development and humanitarian projects and enhancing the role of youth in society.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In conclusion, the College dean thanked the UNICEF delegation for holding the awareness workshop, indicated the extent to which the students benefited from these educational courses in their field of work, and expressed her readiness to open horizons of cooperation between them and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal, quality education, and the seventeenth goal, establishing partnerships to achieve the goals.<\/span><\/h4>\n
