The workshop was specifically designed for postgraduate students and faculty members. It was conducted by a specialized team led by Prof. Dr. Abeer Dakhel Al-Salmi, Editor-in-Chief of the college\u2019s journal, alongside academic members Prof. Dr. Huda Shehab, Prof. Dr. Luma Samir, and Assist. Lect. Diana Ghanem, Head of the Scientific Affairs Unit.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">The workshop covered eight key topics that serve as fundamental principles for publishing and evaluating scientific research. These topics included:<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Definition of peer-reviewed scientific journals<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Introduction to the Iraqi Academic Journals Portal<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Preliminary review procedures conducted by the Editor-in-Chief<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Scientific requirements for submitted research papers<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Strict scientific review standards<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Steps for registering on the journal\u2019s website<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Publication guidelines and follow-up procedures<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Role of reviewers in the evaluation process<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">During the session, Dr. Abeer Dakhel Al-Salmi emphasized the growing importance of publishing scientific research in the University of Baghdad\u2019s database, particularly for local studies, while ensuring compliance with the publication standards of major global indexing platforms.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations, the most notable being:<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #000080;\">Providing a practical guide for researchers on submitting their work in accordance with ethical and methodological research standards.
