Prof. Dr. Aseel Jalil, Head of Evening Studies, and Assist. Lect. Diana Ghanem, Head of the scientific affairs unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, participated in the 8th International Scientific Conference organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra on the theme \u201cSports and Sustainable Development in Light of Artificial Intelligence Perspectives.\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n

Their participation included presenting a scientific research paper titled \u201cThe Effect of Educational Exercises Using the Variable Practice Method on the Technical Performance of the High Jump Event Among Female Students.\u201d The research aimed to develop educational exercises based on the variable practice method to enhance motor performance. Variable practice is an educational technique that relies on diversifying training systems by practicing a wide range of variables affecting movements, such as dimensions, distances, angles, and directions. This approach contributes to enhancing one or more skills and improving different stages of the high jump event.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The research was conducted using an experimental approach on a sample of 20 fourth-year female students from the college, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experiment lasted for six weeks, with two educational sessions per week. The researchers concluded that the academic approach designed using the variable practice method had a positive impact on students\u2019 learning of the different phases of the high jump event.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In another aspect of the conference, Dr. Aseel Jalil was selected as a member of the Motor Learning Committee to discuss several research papers presented at the conference. This participation reflects a commitment to achieving globally recognized sustainable development goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/span><\/h4>\n
