The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, organised a training course titled (Using SPSS Software). The Asst. Lect. Reem Talal Kamel and Asst. Lect. Rasha Majid Hassoun from the Department of Theoretical Sciences.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The course covered several key topics, including an introduction to SPSS, which was first introduced in 1968 and stands for Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Although initially designed for social science research, SPSS is widely used in various fields such as marketing, finance, government, and education.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The training also included steps for installing and accessing the software, guidance on creating a new query from a database, and instructions on data entry. It emphasised the importance of naming variables with no more than eight characters. Additionally, participants were introduced to different types of variables, methods for calculating measures of central tendency and dispersion, and ways to visualise data using charts and graphs.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This course aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Goal 4, Quality Education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
