The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women hosted the examination of the doctoral dissertation titled:<\/span><\/h4>\n

(The Effect of Specialized Exercises Using Assistive Tools to Improve Peripheral Perception, Certain Motor Abilities, Technical Performance, and the Digital Level in the Discus Throw Event for Female Students(by researcher (Mona Jassim Raheem). The examination committee was composed of: Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed \u2013 University of Babylon (Chair), Prof. Dr. Aseel Jalil Kadhim \u2013 Supervisor, Prof. Dr. Mawahib Hameed Noaman \u2013 Member, Prof. Dr. Wissal Subeih Kareem \u2013 University of Baghdad \/ College of Arts (External Member), Asst. Prof. Dr. Sahar Harr Majeed \u2013 Member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Iman Subeih Hussein \u2013 Member.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Research Objectives:<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to design specialized exercises using assistive tools to develop peripheral perception, selected motor abilities, technical performance, and the digital level in the discus throw event for female students. It also aimed to examine the comparative effectiveness between the experimental and control groups in the post-test results of these variables, conducted for second-stage students at the college, held at the Kashafa field.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Findings:<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study concluded that the specialized exercises using assistive tools significantly improved peripheral perception, particularly spatial and temporal awareness. They also positively impacted motor abilities such as agility, flexibility, balance, and coordination. The exercises enhanced technical performance, including: Discus holding, Preparation stance, Preliminary swings, Rotation, Throwing phase, Switching, and balance.<\/span>
\nFurthermore, these exercises improved the digital level in the discus throw event for second-stage female students.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Recommendations: Emphasize integrating specialized exercises and assistive tools in the training process for discus throw and other athletic skills, for both male and female athletes. Utilize such exercises to optimize time and effort in learning and refining technical performance. Encourage using low-cost, locally available equipment to support instructors in improving athletic performance. Foster the development of cognitive processes, especially peripheral perception, during educational and developmental training units.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This examination supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
