The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad hosted the examination of a master\u2019s thesis entitled: \u201cThe Effect of the Entwistle’s Model on Cognitive Representation and the Learning of Selected Offensive Skills in Taekwondo for Juniors Aged 12\u201314\u201d, submitted by Hind Basim Aidan.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The examination committee consisted of: Prof. Dr. Mawaheb Hameed Noaman \u2013 University of Baghdad (Chair), Prof. Dr. Abbas Mahdi Saleh \u2013 University of Kufa (External Member), Prof. Dr. Liza Rostom Yaqoub \u2013 Member, Prof. Dr. Intisar Aweed Ali \u2013 Supervisor.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to develop a cognitive representation scale for junior taekwondo athletes aged 12\u201314, to assess the participants\u2019 current levels using this scale, and to investigate the impact of the Entosel instructional model on both their cognitive representation and the acquisition of selected offensive skills.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The researcher concluded that Entwistle’s Model significantly and effectively impacted the experimental group\u2019s performance, as evident in improved cognitive representation.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Based on the findings, the researcher recommended adopting Entwistle’s Model in teaching taekwondo skills due to its high compatibility with educational needs. Additionally, she suggested implementing the newly developed cognitive representation scale in taekwondo training and academic centers.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This thesis defense contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4\u2014Quality Education by promoting innovative and effective teaching methods in sports education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
