The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women \u2013 University of Baghdad witnessed the examination of a master\u2019s thesis entitled (The Effect of Variable-Speed Exercises on Certain Special Abilities, Functional Variables, and Individual Defensive Movements of U-18 Handball Players), submitted by the student (Sabrin Salahuddin Hassan).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The examination committee comprised Prof. Dr. Nada Abdul Salam Sabri (University of Baghdad), Chair; Asst. Prof. Dr. Intidhar Jumaa Mubarak, Member; Asst. Prof. Dr. Nizar Nazim Hamid (University of Diyala), External Member; and Prof. Dr. Widad Kazem Majid, Supervisor.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The research aimed to design variable-speed exercises for U-15 handball players, identify their effects on specific special abilities (physical and motor) and functional variables, and examine their impact on individual defensive skills in handball.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The researcher concluded that variable-speed exercises positively influenced players\u2019 special physical and motor abilities, including speed-strength, motor reaction time, coordination, speed endurance, and performance endurance. Moreover, the exercises contributed to improving functional variables in U-15 handball players.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study recommended that coaches adopt the variable-speed exercises developed by the researcher to enhance players\u2019 special abilities, functional variables, and individual defensive skills. It also advised applying intensity variation methods in exercises when studying other physical and technical skills.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This discussion contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
