The University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, organized an awareness-raising activity to reduce the use of electronic cigarettes among the college\u2019s students. This initiative is part of the unit\u2019s ongoing efforts to promote healthy behaviors and raise awareness of the risks associated with harmful habits.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The activity featured a scientific lecture delivered by Lect. Dr. Raghdaa Fouad Mohammed, who outlined the negative effects of electronic smoking on the respiratory system and on athletes\u2019 physical performance, in addition to its long-term health risks.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The event also included the distribution of informational leaflets containing simplified scientific explanations of the dangers of e-cigarette use, along with guidance for those wishing to quit. Healthy alternatives were also presented to help students adopt a more balanced lifestyle.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The college administration emphasized that this activity aligns with its responsibility toward its students and its commitment to creating a smoke-free campus environment. It also noted that health awareness programs will continue throughout the academic year.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This activity contributes to achieving two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education).<\/span><\/h4>\n
