A faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, and Head of the University Psychological Counselling Unit, Assistant. Lect. Dr Hind Salem Tayeh participated in the activities of the First International Conference on the Role of Psychological Counselling in Social and Educational Integration. The conference was held at Al-Hakim Hall at the University of Baghdad under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Mr Mohammed Shia\u2019 Al-Sudani, and in cooperation with several national and international partner institutions, namely the National Security Advisory, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Education.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference was attended by a distinguished group of professors and researchers specialising in psychological counselling, educational guidance, and social reintegration. It also witnessed the presence of the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdul Amir Al-Shammari; the National Security Advisor, Mr. Qasim Al-Araji, representing the Prime Minister Mohammed Shia\u2019 Al-Sudani; the Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi; Mr. Hussein Al-Lami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, representing the Ministry; Ms. Ghada Al-Baladawi, representing the German Agency for International Cooperation; and Dr. Saeed Al-Jiyashi, Strategic Affairs Advisor at the National Security Advisory.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Director of the Centre, Professor Dr Fadil Shaker Al-Saadi, delivered a detailed presentation on the strategy of psychological counselling and educational guidance at the University of Baghdad, which represents a roadmap for developing psychological and educational support services in Iraqi universities and for enhancing safe educational environments that contribute to students\u2019 academic and social integration.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference concluded with a set of recommendations emphasising the need to strengthen cooperation among educational, security, and development institutions, expand psychological counselling programs at universities, and develop the skills of specialists working in this field to support social stability and educational environments in Iraq.<\/span><\/h4>\n
