Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hello Al-Askari<\/b>, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abd Al-Hassan Attia<\/b>, and under the supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih<\/b>, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls<\/b> at the University of Baghdad held its Fourth International Scientific Conference. The event, titled “(Entrepreneurship Applications and Knowledge Parks: Horizons for Excellence in Sports Sciences),” took place from April 15\u201316, 2026.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs’ souls, and the playing of the Iraqi National Anthem. In a speech delivered by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Al-Jumaili<\/b>, he emphasized that the Ministry is committed to developing and updating scientific programs, overcoming challenges, and enhancing institutional integration to ensure that entrepreneurship and knowledge park applications align with national sustainable development requirements.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Furthermore, the Vice President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah<\/b>, explained that the conference seeks to open horizons for cooperation between researchers and institutions to foster innovation and research excellence in line with modern requirements. He noted that the university looks forward to solid scientific recommendations that contribute to developing sports sciences and enhancing entrepreneurship to serve the scientific progress in Iraq.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih<\/b> also delivered a speech welcoming guests and participating delegations from inside and outside Iraq. She expressed appreciation for the generous patronage of the Minister and the University President, which significantly contributed to the success of this distinguished scientific event. The Dean emphasized that the conference aligns with Ministry and University directives to support innovation and entrepreneurship as strategic paths for developing sports sciences, noting that the college aims to cultivate a new generation of girls<\/b> and researchers capable of transforming academic knowledge into successful entrepreneurial projects that serve society and the national economy.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Professor Dr. Sabah Khalaf<\/b>, Chairman of the Deans’ Committee of Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Iraqi Universities, delivered a speech praising the exceptional organizational level of the conference and the leading role of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls<\/b> in spearheading the academic and research scene in Iraq.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference aimed to highlight the importance of employing entrepreneurship concepts in developing sports sciences and enhancing the role of knowledge and innovation in elevating academic and athletic institutions. It also sought to support initiatives that contribute to building a modern scientific environment based on creativity and knowledge integration.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference discussed several key scientific themes: entrepreneurship applications in sports sciences and the transformation of academic knowledge into investment projects; knowledge parks and their role in developing sports curricula and enhancing innovation in education; artificial intelligence in physical education and the use of modern technologies to improve athletic performance; digital innovation in the sports field as an entry point for sustainable entrepreneurship; and the transition from specialization to investment by redefining sports through an entrepreneurial approach.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference included several specialized scientific workshops, such as “Digital Innovation in the Sports Field” presented by Professor Dr. Tariq Ali Yusuf<\/b> from the University of Baghdad; “Knowledge Parks, Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence” presented by Professor Dr. Mohammed Assem Mohammed Ghazi<\/b> from Egypt and the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs at the University of Hilla; and “From Specialization to Investment” presented by trainer Riam Abd Al-Karim Abd<\/b>. Scientific research was also discussed in the sessions, alongside an exhibition of entrepreneurial projects.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The proceedings featured a presentation of the college’s entrepreneurial excellence report, a theatrical performance expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, an athletic display titled “Acrobatic Movements for Children” managed by the writer Mustafa as an entrepreneurial project, and a tourism program for the participating delegations.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference concluded with several recommendations presented by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, Professor Dr. Suhad Haseeb Abd Al-Hamid<\/b>. These included supporting university data as incubators for innovative ideas to transform them into applied projects achieving sustainable development goals, developing knowledge parks as centers for scientific and technological production, and integrating entrepreneurship concepts into educational curricula to prepare a generation of girls<\/b> possessing innovation and critical thinking skills.<\/span><\/h4>\n

At the end of the events, workshop lecturers, retired college faculty members, and top-ranking students were honored. This conference achieves several Sustainable Development Goals, most notably Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
