A master’s thesis titled (Special Exercises with Mechanical Media and Their Effect on Some Physical Abilities, Biokinematic Variables, and Speed for Runners Aged 12-15 Years), by the researcher (Zainab Ali Hamid Manati), was defended at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad. The defense committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Bushra Kazem Abdul-Ridha as Chair, Prof. Dr. Iman Sabeeh Hussein as Supervisor, Prof. Dr. Aseel Jalil Katea as Member, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nasrallah Radi Mishjal from the University of Dhi Qar as an External Member.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to prepare proposed exercises using mechanical media to develop physical abilities, biokinematic variables, and speed among junior runners (12-15 years), while measuring the effectiveness of these exercises by comparing the differences between the pre- and post-tests of the experimental and control groups, leading to a comparison of their post-test results to determine the superior group.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The results showed significant differences in favor of the experimental group in most physical abilities, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed program, as a noticeable development was achieved in the biokinematic indicators (stride length, stride frequency, and average speed), reflecting positively on the motor mechanics of the runners (12-15 years). This improvement is attributed to the clear effect of the specialized exercises used, which included (ABC preparation exercises, strength, speed, specific endurance, jumping power, and flexibility).<\/span><\/h4>\n

The study recommends the necessity of integrating the biomechanical aspect into the training process due to its direct specificity to athletic achievement, especially in developing the indicators of stride length, stride frequency, and average speed, and emphasizing the application of the proposed specialized exercises package, which includes (ABC preparation exercises, strength, speed, specific endurance, jumping power, and flexibility) because of its clear impact on elevating physical abilities, biokinematic variables, and speed among junior runners aged 12-15 years.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This discussion contributes to achieving one of the sustainable development goals, which is the fourth goal related to quality education.<\/span><\/h4>\n
