The Rapporteur of the Theoretical Sciences Branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Asst. Lect. Huda Idan Muhammad, held a scientific symposium entitled (Feelings of Cohesion and their Relationship to Preserving Mental and Physical Health)

As Mrs. Huda demonstrated the concept of feelings of cohesion as a positive image of the self capable of dealing and overcoming the requirements and difficulties of internal and external life while possessing self-conviction in the ability to manage and arrange the conditions of this life to achieve balance and conformity between conditions and needs, so it is considered a kind of optimistic tendency towards stressful and inconvenient things. tunable.

It showed that the components of the feelings of cohesion are linked in three dimensions with each other: feelings of clarity, feelings of voluntariness, and feelings of meaning.

The symposium concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is directing educational counselors to work on preparing counseling programs to develop and develop feelings of cohesion among students, giving emotional features great importance when preparing training programs or educational activities, helping students by increasing their self-confidence and making them more able to deal and face the course of life, involving students with activities that highlight their personality and increase their self-confidence, whether these activities are inside or outside the university.
