The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad held the annual student conference to discuss graduation research, which was held under the slogan (With scientific research, we raise our students), which was organized by the Theoretical Sciences Branch in cooperation with the Research Project Committee, under the auspices and presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mounir Hamid Al-Saadi, under the supervision of the Dean Faculty Prof. Fatima Abdel Maleh, and the Dean of the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Hussein Ali Jawad and Director of the Office of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad.
The conference opened with verses from the Holy Quran in the voice of the reciter (Kawthar Haidar Saad) from the Holy Qur’an Center of the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine, after which people stood to read Surat Al-Fatihah, out of mercy for the souls of our righteous martyrs, and then listened to the playing of the national anthem.
As Dr. Al-Saadi delivered his speech, congratulating the students for their graduation, and the parents for their joy in the fruit of their efforts, praising the efforts of the College Deanship for their care for the students, in addition to their educational and academic role in providing them with knowledge and urging them to strive to achieve their academic and professional goals in a way that serves the labor market and promotes it.
After that, the Dean of the College delivered her speech on this occasion, welcoming the honorable guests, expressing her happiness on this day to celebrate with you, and we are reaping the fruit of what we have cultivated in terms of knowledge and science, whether it was acquired at the university level or before, stressing that universities compete with their counterparts in other countries according to international classification standards and the quality of outputs and what distinguishes it from scientific sobriety, as she recommended to the students humility and sincere intention because they are a source of elevation and sophistication.
The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, Prof. Dr. Suhad Haseeb, delivered her speech, indicating the extent of the college’s interest in building a competitive generation armed with science and culture.
After that, the head of the Research Project Committee, Prof. Dr. Widad Kazem, gave her speech, introducing a statistical introduction to the number of fourth-stage research, which amounted to (84) research, of which (75) were research in the descriptive method and (9) in the experimental method, as these research contribute to solving the problems of the physical aspect and health fitness labor market, community service, orphanages, disability, rehabilitation, kinesiology and biomechanics, in addition to psychological and educational sciences and other sciences related to physical education, distributed among (10) competent scientific groups to select distinguished research from each group to compete on Tuesday corresponding to (2/5/ 2023) to choose the best three distinguished research papers to participate in the student conference that will be held later at the University of Baghdad.
Dr. Donia Jamil Muhammad from the Holy Quran Center of the Kadhimiya Shrine also gave an educational and guiding lecture recommending that the students adhere to the principles of the Islamic religion and stay away from the social phenomena that occurred in society after 2003.
The conference included a review of the entrance of fourth-stage female students and video clips of the congratulations of the heads of the scientific branches for the students, as well as the students’ thanks to the teaching staff, in addition to holding the ceremony of handing over the banner to the next stage, and then presenting them with a bouquet of roses to the President of the University, cutting the graduation cake and taking a group photo, and then Go to research discussion rooms.
At the end of the conference, the university president, Dr. Al-Saadi, praised the efforts made to make this conference a success, distributing books of thanks and appreciation to the women’s delegation to the Kadhimiya shrine, wishing everyone success and success in service to our mother university and service to our beloved Iraq.
