The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad conducted tests for students applying for the Parallel Education Channel for the academic year 2023/2024, under the supervision of its Dean, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh. The number of applicants for this course reached (10), and they were subjected to six main committees, namely the interview committee. Physical safety, skill tests, which include (basketball, hand, volleyball, foot, and gymnastics), physical tests, which include (speed test – running from a standing position for a distance of 30 metres, accuracy test, throwing ten balls at a marked target, dangling on ladders test due to exhaustion, compatibility test, numbered circles. The agility test, rebound running, the sitting test from lying down with the knees bent for 30 seconds, the full Dubai descent test from standing for 30 seconds, the flexibility test of bending forward from a long sitting, the 400-meter table running test, in addition to the standard and follow-up committee.

After the students completed the physical and skill tests, they were subjected to a personal interview by the Dean of the College and Head of the Individual Games Branch, Asst. Prof. Abeer Dakhil who asked them some questions about their knowledge of sports games and events and their laws.

For her part, Dr. Fatima explained to the applicants that there are other procedures after the interview, such as the screening process that will determine the successful candidates who will be accepted in the new academic year, stressing that all applicants’ grades will be subject to specific equations in accordance with the admission laws of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the directives of the university presidency in this regard, wishing them success and college admission.

This test is one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: education quality
