Based on the university’s directives to discuss published research, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Aseel Jalil Kati’, discussed the research titled (The effect of the guided imagination strategy on learning to perform some volleyball skills among fifth-grade preparatory school students) published in (Modern Sport Journal), in the year 2023, and the purpose of adopting this mechanism on a weekly basis is to show graduate students how to use the methodology and research templates for each journal within the international classifications.
As Dr. Aseel explained the concept of imagination to be inherent in all stages of life and is characterized by the formation of ideas in the brain that are presented, solutions are found, and needs are satisfied rather than confronting situations, explaining its importance by relying on the strategy mentioned above in learning volleyball skills, preparing educational units with the strategy, and identifying its effect in learning volleyball skills. Adopting the experimental method and a sample consisting of (26) random female students (25%) from Al-Aqila Middle School, adopting (4) educational units for each skill, concluding the extent to which applying the visualization strategy helps in improving the level of performance of the skills of crushing hitting, defending the court, and forehand preparation from above the head among fifth-grade middle school students, recommending the need to pay attention to developing the capabilities of physical education teachers and their knowledge of the directed imagination strategy to apply it to students of different stages in a manner that relies on scientific planning in accordance with the foundations and principles of motor learning.
The published research mechanism achieves one of the goals of sustainable development, represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
