A lecturer in the theoretical sciences branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Najla Abbas Al-Zuhairi, held a scientific workshop entitled ((Ways to improve the reality of theses and dissertations for postgraduate students in the specialty of teaching methods (problems and solutions).)
Dr. Al-Zuhairi highlighted the importance of choosing a topic for postgraduate students and their knowledge of the scientific methods followed and the correct methodology when writing, noting that there is a rapprochement between the specialty of motor learning and teaching methods.
She explained how to identify the problem after starting the topic, especially since the method used in writing research in the field of methods is the experimental method because it searches for learners’ experiences to measure the percentage of the impact on the learner’s memory and the percentage of its reflection on the learning outcomes, adding the possibility of resorting to the descriptive approach in the fields that investigate classroom management and teaching competencies and others.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the definition of the problem in an accurate, correct and objective manner that is consistent with what exists in the educational environment and the characteristics, capabilities and variables possessed by the sample members that are physically and practically applicable.
This workshop achieves the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
