Three teachers in the individual games branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Asst. Lect. Raghdaa Fuaad, Asst. Lect. Huda Eidan, and Asst. Lect. Duaa Hussein, held a workshop entitled (How to write a sports course).
The teaching staff pointed out the most important initial procedures that the trainer or trainee must adhere to, which are knowing the trainee’s desire and the goal of training, knowing chronic diseases, injuries and operations, knowing the level of the trainee in terms of physical fitness, taking into account the circumstances and system of shared life, taking physical measurements for the purpose of comparing results and the extent of development or deterioration of results in relation to the desired goal, through measuring (BMI) the body mass index.
They also mentioned the types of sports courses for sports equipment, including a course for only two, three, four, or five days. At the same time, they classified the types of muscles in the human body into large muscles, such as the muscles of the chest, back, thigh, back thigh, and shoulder, and small muscles, including the muscles of the arm, abdomen, and forearm.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is emphasizing a warm-up five minutes before starting to perform the exercises to prevent injury, that the system be flexible and subject to change and modification, especially with women, performing cardio exercises after performing resistance exercises, and taking into account individual differences.
This workshop achieves the sustainable development goals, represented by the third goal: good health and well-being, and the fourth goal: good education.
