The head of the theoretical sciences branch in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Luma Samir Al-Sheikhly, held a scientific workshop for undergraduate students, entitled (Future Memory), in the fencing hall in the college. As the head of the theoretical sciences branch explained the concept of memory, which is the storage of acquired information with the aim of retrieving it when needed after the elapse of a period of time that may be long or short, and among its stages are acquisition, storage, retrieval, categorizing its types into sensory memory, which includes iconographic, echoic and tactile memory, And short-term and long-term memory. She also referred to the future memory, which is called the memory of intentions and the prospective memory, which means the ability to remember and evoke information that we want to do in the future, and among its types are future memory based on event, future memory based on time, noting its tasks of immediate, delayed, organized and accidental implementation. Dr. Al-Sheikhly also explained the most important factors that aid in remembering, which are (relaxation, mental orientation, repetition, novelty, intensity of reality), and also recalled the most important factors affecting future memory, which are (age, genetic factors, diseases and disorders, and harmful substances).
