The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, received the advisor to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs, Professor Qasim Al-Zalimi, and the aim of the visit was to see the reality of the college and meet the undergraduate students.
Dr. Fatima, accompanied by Professor Al-Zalmi, made an inspection tour of all the corridors of the college, which included indoor and outdoor playground halls and practical classrooms such as physical fitness, gymnastics and archery, in addition to the study halls for postgraduate students.
For his part, the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Youth Affairs met with the students of the first stage, speaking about the initiative of how to attract youth energies through the establishment of the Supreme Council for Youth, especially after the launch of the Youth Ambassadors Program under the auspices of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
He also explained how this council was established in coordination with some government ministries, such as planning, education, and youth, for their role in society to support the government in implementing its national governmental program.
He announced the Council’s objectives and its role in providing job opportunities and financial grants to support their development projects that support the labor market.
For her part, the Dean of the College extended an invitation to the Youth Affairs Advisor and his accompanying delegation to attend our second international scientific conference entitled Sports for Health and Sustainable Development, scheduled to be held on (2/13/2024). In addition to asking him to follow up on the maintenance of the outdoor playground and support for our college.
For his part, the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs, Mr. Qasim Al-Zalmi, praised the efforts made by the Deanship of the College in the college renovation, comparing it to its previous situation, praising the role of Iraqi women, describing women as managers and field leaders in all fields.
This news achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education, and the seventeenth goal: establishing partnerships to achieve the goals.
