The team of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad won second place in the Second Women’s Universities Cup for mini-soccer, which was organized by the Iraqi Football Federation in cooperation and coordination with the administration of the tourist city in Habbaniyah, under the supervision of its director, Muayyad Al-Mashwah, and sponsored by Zain Iraq, with the participation of (8) teams from the corresponding universities, noting that our team was trained by Asst. Prof. Dr. Lisa Rustom Yacoub.
In a related context, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, congratulated the winning team on the occasion of obtaining second place, appreciating the efforts of the coach and the team, wishing them success and further progress and prosperity in order to improve the status of women’s sports in general.
This tournament achieves one of the sustainable development goals, represented by the third goal: good health and well-being, and the seventeenth goal: establishing partnerships to achieve the goals.
