The Teaching Methods Committee in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, each of Prof. Naglaa Abbas and Dr. Iqbal Abdul Hussain and Prof. Dr. Nihad Mohamed and Dr. Hoda Abdel Samie and Asst.Prof. Dr. Maysa Nadim and Dr. Nadima Badr, held a scientific workshop for fourth-stage students, entitled (practical education – field application for the fourth stage, solutions and problems).
As the members of the committee explained the concept of practical education, which is all the different activities that the student-teacher gets to know through all aspects of the educational process gradually, so that he begins to watch and then begins to assume the duties that the teacher performs until he finally reaches the actual practice of the teacher’s work in full. Explain the most important instructions for practical education for students: Commitment to daily attendance and non-absence, adherence to moral and educational ideals and values, conveying a respectable image of our college through the student’s respectful behavior, not wearing excessive makeup because of its impact on conveying an inappropriate image of the applied personality, commitment wearing sports uniforms with the use of special tools for the lesson, participating in flag ceremonies, carrying out the daily line-up tasks, participating in extra-curricular activities, being very keen to leave a positive impact on the faculty members and the school administration through the good relationship that will be left by those who applied to them, and being very keen to keep informed the principal of the school every week on the plan book for the applied, which must be integrated, very keen to implement the plans in accordance with the vocabulary of the Ministry of Education The structure and curriculum of the stage, providing all possible support to the school, by working on the participation of the school teacher and students with folk work, painting and planning playgrounds, repairing dilapidated ones and tools as much as possible and within the limits of available capabilities, working on employing alternatives and trying to find them in schools that You do not have tools and you do not have material capabilities. It is possible to activate the role of substitutes, whether in the lesson or for the school in general, completing the field application period positively and without any significant problems, whether between the applied and the school’s teachers, the sports teacher, or the administration represented by the principal and assistants, or even with the students, if you must remember You are always a guest to all of them, and you must leave a good impression on them, making them remember the period of your application well.
The committee members pointed out to the students that there is an evaluation form through which the students are evaluated on the basis of three personal, administrative and scientific aspects by the supervisor and the school administration.
