The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, under the patronage and supervision of its Dean, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, accompanied by the teachers, the staff, and the students, celebrated Teacher’s and Women’s Day.
The celebration includes a speech by the Dean of the College, Dr. Fatima, explaining the role of women in society, whether inside or outside the home, in addition to each one of us having her role in society at all levels, especially since our specialization is linked to other entities that have a leadership role in society, such as teachers, doctors, and others.
Then, Ramadan poems were recited to coincide with the beginning of the holy month, in addition to sports performances in gymnastics, basketball, and badminton, as well as the opening of a bazaar for female students to display handicrafts, whether food, aesthetic, etc.
For her part, the Dean of the College praised the students’ efforts in opening entrepreneurial projects that serve their own motivations and serve their community, especially in supporting the private sector and the labor market.
This celebration is part of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
