The two lecturers in the team sports branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lisa Rustom Yaqoub and Asst. Lect. Maryam Abdul-Jabbar, held a training course for primary school students entitled (Artificial Intelligence in Football).
The course focused on the following most important topics: the most prominent applications and mechanisms for using artificial intelligence in football, what artificial intelligence is, applications of artificial intelligence and mechanisms supporting the development of its use in football, providing examples of the application of artificial intelligence in the Qatar 2022 World Cup in terms of cameras, algorithms, and super football, Development, risks and effects of applying artificial intelligence in the world of football, including in-depth manipulation, exclusion, social manipulation, not improving the status quo, destabilizing artificial intelligence, the institution that focuses its work on serving customers and the public, change, and a positive outlook.
This course achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
