The Director of the guides of the college Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Nibal Karim Abdullah, and the first stage students participated in the Scout Camp Festival, which was organized by the Student Activities Department at the Burj Stadium at the University of Baghdad, under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ansaf, and under the supervision of the Director Department Prof. Dr. Ali Sadiq Dhiyab, pointing out the importance of students’ participation in scout camps, firstly, because it is part of the approved curricula in physical education courses, and secondly, it has the ability to acquire experiences and skills that qualify them for peaceful coexistence and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, love and cooperation among them, in addition to learn how to perform the flag raising ceremonies and its approved paragraphs during their field application in schools before and after their graduation.
Our college’s participation in the festival was represented by erecting scout tents, flag raising ceremonies, reciting poems about patriotism, scout shouts, sayings, and prophetic hadiths, as well as a Scout exhibition that was embodied by handiwork and beautiful artistic paintings.
This participation achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education, and the seventeenth goal: establishing partnerships to achieve the goals.
