The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, held a scientific symposium entitled (Avoiding some administrative mistakes to achieve success). It presented by the lecturer in the team sports branch, Prof. Dr. Sondos Musa Jawad.

Dr. Sondos  explained the general concept of a mistake, as it in itself is not a defect, and a mistake is a step towards success, but the mistake is insisting on the mistake and continuing to repeat it, being arrogant, ignoring the advice of others and not wanting to admit it. Mistakes are divided into two parts, the first part is mistakes by the managers, the second part is mistakes by the employees.

She explained the most important methods for dealing with mistakes, which include collecting information about mistakes, analyzing mistakes, accepting punishment, lying, gossiping, vanity and arrogance, bragging, blaming others, complaining, envy, exaggerating in carrying burdens, climbing, forgetting, and threatening language.

She also pointed out the most important tips to avoid making mistakes while working, including controlling your nerves, do not argue when you are wrong, do not rush a solution, understand your work carefully, keep problems at home away from your work, and avoid exaggerated apologies.

This symposium achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
