The Student Dormitories are a vital part of the higher education experience, providing a safe and comfortable environment that supports students in their academic journey and helps them achieve success and excellence. The internal department aims to:

  1. Create a suitable academic environment to assist students in carrying out their academic tasks.

  2. Eliminate social disparities among students.

  3. Strengthen the relationship among students, acquaint them with their duties and rights, and train them to manage their affairs independently within the internal department environment.

  4. Encourage students to engage in discussions and exchange opinions through debates, seminars, and lectures held within the internal department.

  5. Develop the skills and abilities of students and encourage them through artistic, cultural, and physical activities by organizing art exhibitions and sports competitions.

Criteria and Conditions for Admission to Student Dormitories:

  1. The option of accommodation for female graduate students is left to the university.

  2. Admission to the internal department is for a period equivalent to the duration of study.

  3. The student must be free from contagious and infectious diseases as per a medical report issued by an official authority.

  4. Application for accommodation is made directly after the student’s acceptance to the college, according to a special form prepared by the internal departments of the university, within two weeks.

  5. Consideration is given to the geographical location and availability of transportation means for the student’s accommodation in her province relative to the university she has been accepted to.

  6. Priority consideration is given to students who are children of martyrs, exclusively proven officially.

  7. The student’s economic status is considered after ensuring proof through:

    • Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

    • Retirement Authority or its branches in the province.

    • Provincial Council or Municipal Council.

  8. The student is not accommodated until she pays the housing fees as approved by the relevant authorities, and fees are doubled for failing students.

  9. The student’s fees for summer accommodation, if requested, are determined by the relevant authorities.

  10. The student must sign a legal commitment to abide by the regulations and instructions of the internal departments.

  11. The amounts received from housing allowances in the internal departments are recorded in the Higher Education Fund as deposits and are disbursed to support and develop and maintain the internal departments.

  12. The student must submit a legally certified undertaking from a guarantor before joining the internal department.

The student will be dismissed from the Student Dormitories in the following cases:

  1. If proven to have committed theft or any act contrary to morals.

  2. If proven to have consumed alcohol or drugs.

  3. Possession of prohibited substances.

  4. If expelled from the college for any reason.

  5. Repeated involvement in fights or mistreatment of fellow students.

  6. Assault on the supervisor or any of the officials or staff in the internal department.

  7. If proven to have spread political ideas that could incite sectarianism, discord, or religious and cultural conflicts.

Regulations for Accommodation in Internal Departments:

  1. Maintaining cleanliness in the room, internal department, corridors, and refraining from throwing waste and food residues from the balconies.

  2. Adherence to the closing times of the main door of the internal department.

  3. Prohibition of allowing relatives and guests to enter or stay, and ensuring complete silence inside the department, its corridors, and courtyards.

  4. Refraining from causing any material damage to the room, corridors, and public facilities.

  5. Avoiding the use of electrical devices with high power consumption (especially when using the internal department generator).

  6. Prohibition of bringing in any electronic disc players, satellite dishes, or other prohibited items.

  7. Prohibition of bringing mobile phones with cameras into the department.

  8. Bringing a computer only after obtaining official approvals.

  9. Prohibition of bringing iPads or internet modems.

  10. Prohibition of bringing prohibited items, including alcoholic beverages, drugs, dominoes, card games, etc.

  11. Prohibition of sleeping outside the internal department without notifying the department management and with the consent of the guardian.

  12. Absence from the internal department without a legitimate excuse for a period of (10 days) for undergraduate students.

  13. Absence from the internal department without a legitimate excuse for a period of (20 days) for graduate students.

  14. The student is required to return all items belonging to the dormitory before leaving the building, as they were received initially. In case of any deviation, the student will be held responsible for any resulting damages.

  15. Students are required to leave the dormitory no later than the day following the completion of the final exams.

  16. Adherence to regulations and laws, demonstrating high ethical standards, as well as treating the management and supervisors of the complex with respect and following all their instructions.

Ministry Housing Complex for Female Students: A building located within the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for Women in the Al-Waziriyah area, converted into a student dormitory in 1992. It consists of two floors with a total of 25 rooms, including two rooms for supervisors, 22 rooms for student accommodation, and one room for social research. The complex also includes several halls, including an internet and computer room, and a sports equipment room. It can accommodate more than 170 students.
