The doctoral thesis entitled (The Effect of Some Mindfulness Exercises on Creative Self-efficacy and the Performance of Optional Rhythmic Movement Formation for Female Students) by the researcher (Huda Eidan Muhammad) was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Bushra Kazem Abdel Reda, as a Chairman, prof. Dr. Sahira Razzaq Kazem as a Supervisor, and prof. Dr. Entisar Kazem Abdel Karim, prof. Dr. Zainab Hassan Falih from Al-Mustansiriya University, prof. Dr. Zeina Abdel Salam, and Asst. Prof.  Dr. Maysaa Nadeem Ahmed, are members.

The study aimed to prepare some mindfulness exercises for third-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls to identify the effect of some mindfulness exercises on the creative self-efficacy of female students, as well as to determine the impact of some mindfulness exercises on the performance of rhythmic voluntary motor formation among third stage students.

The study concluded that the program approved by the subject teachers had an impact on the performance of the female students in the motor formation with the ball, the motor formation with the hoop, and the optional motor formation in the control group, noting that the use of mindfulness exercises brought about an improvement in the performance of the control and experimental groups in the motor formations mentioned above.

The researcher recommended paying attention to mindfulness exercises in their various aspects, whether intellectual or physical, because of their positive impact on the individual’s life and the athlete in particular. Emphasizing the conduct of similar studies that address the same variables in other individual or group activities because of this topic’s great importance.

This event is consistent with the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aims for quality education.
