The Rehabilitation, Employment, Follow-up and Student Activities Units at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, and in cooperation with the Individual Games Branch, under the supervision of its Head, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abeer Dakhel Hatem organised their sports festival for motor games (Towards the Goal) with the participation of teams from other universities, including Al-Turath University, College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Al-Iraqia University, College of Engineering, and Huna Al-Iraqia team.
The festival included group games with the participation of the champions and players of our college teams. The games were (group running and hand-to-hand interlocking, ball collecting game with a basket, jumping, ball hugging and walking game, hoop game and side walking).
The results of the festival were that our college team won first place with 15 points, Al-Turath College won second place with 9 points, and theAl-Iraqia University won third place with 4 points.
In conclusion, the Dean of the College, Dr Fatima, honoured the winning teams with championship cups and letters of thanks and appreciation in appreciation of the efforts of all contributors to the success of this festival, wishing everyone success and fulfilment in serving our college and our mother university. This festival achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the third goal, good health and well-being, and the seventeenth goal, forming partnerships to achieve the goals.
