The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (How to Get Rid of Muscle Pain after Exercising), under the slogan (National Unity, Combating Violent Extremism and Building Peace), presented by the Rapporteur of the Individual Games Department, Asst. Lect. Hind Walid Kalf.

Ms. Hind explained that the real cause of exposure to these pains is the microscopic damage that affects the muscle fibers, and when the muscles perform the process of restoration and rebuilding the fibers again, these pains occur, and in fact what the muscles do is a process of adapting to the new exercises, so that the pain disappears later and gradually, after the muscles become accustomed to the pattern of these exercises.

She explained the most important ways to get rid of muscle pain after exercising, including warming up, doing exercises in a light and calm manner, taking magnesium, drinking plenty of fluids, eating light meals while exercising, practicing yoga, distributing exercises to different parts of the body and dividing them daily, taking a hot and cold bath, massage, eating proteins and avoiding fatty substances.

This symposium achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal, quality education.
