The Women’s Football Championship began at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad. The event was held under the patronage of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, and was organized by the Student Activities and Women’s Affairs Units in collaboration with the Friends of the Interior Department at the Ministry of Interior.
The first day included two matches, the first between our college team and Al- Ghad Al-afdal team, and our college team won (6 goals to zero), while the second match was held between the College of Administration and Economics team and Noor Al-Huda team, and the match ended in a positive draw (1-1). Penalty kicks decided the match in favor of the Administration and Economics team.
This match achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the third goal, good health and well-being, and the seventeenth, forming partnerships to achieve the goals.
