The Field Application Committee at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, and the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and Scout Troop Member, Prof. Dr. Naima Zidane Khalaf, organized a workshop for fourth-year students entitled (Iraqi Flag-Raising Ceremonies).
The workshop included an introduction to flag-raising ceremonies and the method of standing, raising, lowering, folding, and tying the flag to the mast.
For her part, the Dean of the College praised the efforts made by the Application Committee for their field application of the flag-raising ceremonies for students and training them on how to perform them correctly in schools during their field application period and their achievement of the theoretical and practical aspects they studied and the consolidation of the correct personal and social concepts, which aim to hone their talents academically to work as a physical education teacher, in addition to developing the skills acquired during their participation in the scouting teams.
This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and sixteenth goals: quality education, peace, justice, and strong institutions.
