The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, hosted a delegation from the Office of the Minister of Interior – Department of Relations and Media/ Community Police Department, including Colonel Hussein Fadel Nasir, Lieutenant Colonel Basma Muzal Hashim, and members Ali Ismail Radhi, Arkan Katea, and Adhraa Hassan, to hold an awareness lecture entitled (Filial Piety).

The lecture included two axes; the first was presented by Colonel Hussein Fadel about honoring parents and the nature of the rights of parents over their children, the virtue of honoring parents and caring for them in our lives, parental rights, and the emphasis of religions on respecting parents, while the second axis, which was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Basma Muzal, which includes providing some instructions and advice on how to establish reconciliation by applying the principle of restorative justice and their role in resolving family and social disputes, as well as their role in enhancing confidence in women through women’s forums, noting the allocation of a unified number to contact all the ministry’s joints, which is (911).

The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Maleh, presented the Community Police delegation with letters of thanks in appreciation for their efforts in holding such purposeful awareness seminars and lectures that aim to educate all members of society about the rights of parents and their status with God Almighty, based on the principle of (Paradise lies at the feet of mothers), calling on God Almighty to protect our mothers and fathers. The two sides expressed the need to strengthen cooperation with the Guidance and Religion Department in the Ministry to hold more guidance lectures in order to educate our female students about the foreign phenomena that have appeared recently. This lecture achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and seventeenth goals of quality education and forming partnerships to achieve the goals.
