The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the auspices of its dean, Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, under the supervision of its official, Asst. Lect. Safiya Ihsan Kamil hosted a delegation from the Women’s Division in the Community Police Department / Department of Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior represented by each of the Director of the Division, Lt. Col. Basma Mazal Al-Zaidi, Major Haider Jassim, and Commissioner Sarah Hamid, Reda Jumaa and Ali Qasim, to hold an awareness workshop for undergraduate students entitled (Divorce and its adverse effects on society).
Lieutenant Colonel Basma Al-Zaidi and Major Haider Jassim presented the workshop axes-, explaining the concept of divorce as a social and psychological problem. It is a general phenomenon in all societies. It seems that it is getting more prevalent in our societies recently. Divorce is the most hated for the harmful effects of family disintegration and increased Enmity and hatred, as well as its many adverse, social, and psychological impacts on children and society, from mental disorders to deviant behavior, crime, and so on.
In conclusion, the unit official Ms. Safiya granted both Lieutenant -Colonel Al -Zaidi and Major Haider Books of thanks and appreciation for their efforts to educate our students about the social phenomena that have begun to increase recently in our society.
This workshop has achieved one of the sustainable development goals of the fourth and seventeenth goals: good education and partnerships to achieve goals.
