The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific lecture titled “The National Group and Its Role in Peaceful Coexistence.” Dr. Zeina Abdul Salam, a member of the unit, presented the lecture.
During the session, the lecturer explained the concept of the national group, describing it as a collective of individuals who believe in national unity and strive to achieve the common good without bias or discrimination. They work towards strengthening social bonds among different segments of society, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or ideological affiliations.
The discussion highlighted the role of the national group in promoting peaceful coexistence, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, tolerance, conflict resolution, citizenship, and combating extremism and violence. Additionally, the lecture underscored their participation in volunteer and charitable activities and their broader societal contributions in areas such as education, awareness campaigns, responsible media, legislation, teamwork, and community initiatives.

This lecture aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4: Quality Education.
